Tax File Number:
To work and pay tax in Australia you'll need a Tax File Number (TFN). TFNs are unique numbers issued by the Australian Tax Office and without one you will be taxed at the emergency tax rate of 48%. Getting a TFN in Australia can be complicated, especially if you don't have a permanent address there yet. Quickstart has expertise knowledge and experience in tax matters and can start organising your TFN before you even leave home.
Australian Bank Account:
Opening a bank account in Australia can be very time-consuming, especially if you're new to the country and are still finding your feet. Quickstart is partnered with one of Australia's largest banks ANZ and can open an Australian bank account on your behalf before you arrive. After purchasing one of our Starter Packs, you will receive your account details within 4-5 working days by email. On arrival in Oz, simply show your passport or driver's licence at any ANZ branch to access your funds and receive your ATM card by post in a couple of days. If you don’t have an address yet at that stage, you can ask the ATM card to be sent to our office in Sydney, George street.
Job Desk:
Get access to the leading Australian recruitment companies through our Job Desk located in our Sydney office on George Street. Hudson and Grunt Labour have partnered with us in Sydney ensuring that you get a job when you arrive in Sydney. Come and talk to one of the recruiters and to check out our flat screen Jobs Wall.
Unlimited internet access:
As a Quickstart customer you will get access to the internet in our Sydney office. We have several computers that you can use to surf the internet to find out what is going on in Oz or at home.
Free meal with fellow new arrivals:
We will take you out for a meal after the Welcome Presentation. You have just arrived in Oz so we don’t expect you to go grocery shopping and start cooking for yourself.
Drink vouchers:
Quickstart will provide you with drink vouchers to a bar in the city centre of Sydney so that you can dive into the Oz social life straight away!

SIM card with $10 AUD after first top up:
Having an Australian phone number before you leave home is a good idea because it means your friends and family will know how to contact you and potential employers can reach you straight away. Quickstart can provide you with an Australian mobile SIM card and instructions for unblocking your current phone.
Assistance in obtaining a tax refund:
Australian tax law requires all non-residents who earn any income from Australian sources to file a tax return - even if you're just working there temporarily. When you accept a visa to work in Oz you agree to follow the country's tax regulations and therefore must file a tax return. You might want to return to Australia and it's a good idea to have your tax affairs in order. Expert Advice on how you can get the Living Away from Home Allowance (LAFHA):
LAFHA is a tax-free allowance which helps compensate workers in Australia for additional expenses or disadvantages incurred while they're living away from their home country for a specific period of time. The allowance is often used by working holiday makers and other temporary overseas skilled workers in Australia.
